Superproducer Drathoven was born on the Northside of Houston, Texas. Drathoven developed his name playing classical pieces from Beethoven, Scott Joplin, and Johann Sebastian Bach since the age of 6 years old. Honing his production craft for R&B/Soul, Hip Hop, Pop, and Gospel under mentors such as Errol Poppi McCalla (Destiny's Child, Missy Elliott, Keyshia Cole) and Simon 'Crazy C' Cullins (Wu-Tang Clan,Outcast, Jodeci, Ghetto Boys), Drathoven soon worked his way up to the A&R seat of Paid-In-Full Entertainment; sharing commentary with Chief Executive, Madd Hatta.(Houston's #1 radio personality for R&B/Hip Hop station 97.9 The Box.
Currently with 3 international placements on Yolanda Adams new album "Becoming" (2011), one including her first single "Be Still", Drathoven shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon! Locally, Drathoven is no stranger either; having put his twist down on many of Houston's popular pool of established and up and coming talents. His portfolio includes works with Teddy Riley, Bad Boy Records, Jacob Latimore (Jive), Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Kirko Bangz, B Angel (Day 26), Slim Thug, Shei Atkins, Lil Flip, Brook Valentine, Khalil, and Tyrese, as well as jingles for businesses' around the world.
